Traffic Control Program Manager

Cannon Companies is accepting applications for a Traffic Control Program Manager to manage and promote services that Cannon provides. Supervisory tasks include pedestrian, vehicular and construction traffic control operations. The Traffic Control Supervisor will have knowledge of safety standards and be well-established and experienced in Traffic control plans. We are looking for a qualified applicant with a background in Construction or Utility


  • 5+ years of experience working in Traffic Control & Project Management
  • Certifications: TCS certification, CPR / Other?
  • Goal orientated with proven organizational, communication and cost control skills
  • Proficient in use of Microsoft Office Suite, Google Earth, or another GIS program
  • Ability to read and understand construction blueprints and specifications

Essential Duties:

  • Knowledge of principles and practices of construction operations
  • Experience building Customer and Vendor relations
  • High level of knowledge of road safety industry and guidelines
  • Basic understanding of customer classifications (City, County, State)
  • Ability to communicate and work effectively as a team member and all levels of the organization
  • Must be able to work autonomously, use discretionary judgement and be solutions oriented.
  • Communicate with customers to develop work area traffic control plans that meet project requirements
  • Provide direction and technical expertise to supervisors and managers to facilitate, coordinate and implement traffic safety practices, programs, activities, and compliance
  • Ensure compliance with City/Controlling agencies
  • Facilitate contact between dispatch and customer
  • Read and interpret traffic control plans to implement in the field
  • Ability to multitask numerous projects and assignments
  • Analyze work practices and develop traffic control standards that endure compliance with regulations
  • Manage billing for completed traffic plans
